Taillight Question....Need Opinions!!!

I just PM triggermauve and he said that he can get me a brand new pair of jdm taillights for 435USD shipped. Or he can send me the used 2gen taillights for 195USD shipped. Now I can remenber one topic of some saying how 2gen would look good on a dark color car and 3gen would look good on a white or gray color car. My 8G is white and I plan on putting chrome wheels. What do you guys/gals think????? He can't get used 3gen taillights cause they are popular there also.

Way too pricey. You can get new 2nd Gen for 110-120 and 3rd gen for around 320 locally. I'd search Ebay and the like. Triggermauve is good, but for these things it's not necessary to go through him. I'd get the 2nd gen tails if you asked me.

that's a lot of money for 3rd gens. Trigger is good, i've purchased a bunch of stuff from him. But that's a lot...i would not buy them at that price. Check prices with FrankMB. he may be able to give you a better price. EBay is also a good place. I've seen a few here and there...Also, the for sale forum...i've seen a few go on sale there too. I don't know if there are any for sale now...you'd have to checka couple of pages to probably find a set for sale.

IMO, the 3rd gens look better on lighter color cars but still look good on dark cars. i have a set on my black G.

if you decide to get the 2nd gen's id say wait and find a pair on ebay or on here. the reason his cost alittle more is due to shipping over seas. if you get the 3rd gens id say just get them from him and save your self the time in trying to find them here in the states. besides, all the prices iv seen on this board or ebay for 3rd gens is always about $350, so an additional $75-$85 aint that much more for something new and plus your getting them from a realiable source and not some yoyo on ebay how could possibly rip you off.

another benefit from getting the 3rd gens through him is he can also get the jdm wire harness for the tails so you wont have to bother with modifying the tails to fit our larger usdm bulbs.

i'll find out when i get there. like what they said the newer once are more expensive cause they're pretty well secured. but i'll pm u guys.
