Ok heres the deal.. the recall has been done to my knowledge by the previous owner but the boots are cracked all the way around. Is it possible to get mitsu to do the recall again since they supplied crap parts?

i wouldn't be so quick to call them crap parts. rubber rots. its cracks then it tears. it happens with every manufacturer on the road.
thats why i try to get salt off my chassis asap after the snow. then keep it off. the salt accelerates deterioration of the joints. as well as rusts the threads on every damn bolt in your suspension.

why not ask manybrews. he seems to be the expert on warranty claims.

if the arms have wear, yes it is possible. Rubber cracking isnt going to be enough, probably. mitsus spec for replacing the arms is .2mm of movement.

actually, ive never seen rubber boots "crack" on their own. even 15 year old ball joint boots.
Id be willing to bet someone was in there with a pickle fork or some butchering tool to seperate them during some previous repair work.
can you take pics?

THAT is not dry rot. THAT is damage from incorrect removal.

find out who did it and make them replace them properly.
