Fog lights cut off

I was installing a set of washer lights on my 8g by connecting them to the fog lights. I bought the light at auto zone and didn't contain detailed instructions. I cut the plastic off from around the fog light's electrical connection. I then twisted the fog light wires around the exposed copper wire. I checked the washer lights and they wouldn't go on with the fogs. Then I noticed that the fog lights weren't going on anymore. If anyone knows what I did wrong, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

you know that your fog lamps only turn on after you hit the button if your headlights are on right? Just checking...


Check the fuse in the engine bay...you may have blown it.
