does any one know what the hell is wrong with this my dranny is stuck in fourth gear and it wont shift down i looked up the diagnostic code it was 1751 did anyone have the same problem

could be the clutch bout to go out on you.

No a clue, check the Factory service manual.If all fails I have a good Tranny for sale if you want it.

first thing first.. do NOT use the engine code as the real code. that is mearly a generic code, telling you to access the trans computer for the REAL code.
p1751 comes up for over a dozen trans faults.

also, its not stuck in 4th, but rather 3rd (not that it makes much difference).

have the problem diagnosed by someone you trust. could be electronic, could be mechaninca.

I got the 1751 code, I took it in to get the ODBII reader thing on it and It said it was a Selonoid Misfire, is that Tranny related???
after this, the cars doesnt feel the same, I had the tranny flushed like 2 months ago, oil is good, what could it be? I havent changed the timing belt(no clue if its related).

99 Galant 4 Cyl.
83000 Miles.

I got the 1751 code, I took it in to get the ODBII reader thing on it and It said it was a Selonoid Misfire, is that Tranny related???
after this, the cars doesnt feel the same, I had the tranny flushed like 2 months ago, oil is good, what could it be? I havent changed the timing belt(no clue if its related).

are you sure you read the code right because i looked up p1751 and it came back as ''manufacturer contrl transmission''

Look at Manybrews post. Look under his name. Look at how many posts he has. It takes time to know the Gs and people with that many post (generally) know what they are talking about.

thats like a surface code it does not clarify anything.
