View Full Version : Car shakes at 95mph

I think its because I need to replace my brakes. When I'm driving down the highway and go to pass someone, round about 95mph my front end starts to shake a bit (not badly but noticeable). When I slow down a little bit, the shaking goes away. It doesn't happen all the time either. Any ideas?

well if it shakes when you brake it is most likely warped rotors or an alignment problem

thats not the brakes. if it was the brakes, it would shake when u slow down, not go faster

check your engine mounts, suspension components, your wheels

Get you wheels checked for balance

u gave a remebedy for when he is slowing down, not going faster. i said it can't be the brakes since he is going faster not slower

better check your suspension dude, but most likely its just an alignment and tire balance that does the trick.

I hope these aren't the stock wheels, because 14s aren't made to go 95.

If you didn't go Z-rated you'll have problems at the 90 mark

no they aren't stock wheels, took those off my car a while ago. I never had a problem with the car shaking with the new rims anyway.... until now, its like a new issue or something. Usually I can get up to 110 without noticing it until I look down (not that I speed or anything https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif )

u may have lost a weight on one or more of your alloys
Some tyre shops use crap sticky pads to stick the weights to the inside of alloy
