I am about to do a complete tune-up on my Galant. I think at one time someone told me that either my shocks or struts are going bad. How can you tell? I am wanting to put on lowering springs, but before I do this, I want to make sure that everything is okay. I have 122000 miles on it. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I should do or any precautions I shuold take. Thanks!!!

i think while u have the struts of doing the lowering springs u might as well put some struts on it.. dont they have coil overs for the 8g?

122k and lowering springs means you will need shocks and struts no matter what. with 122k on the struts and shocks if they aren't bad yet, they will be very soon if you put lowering springs on

u check if your shocks are gone by pushing your car down by the bumper. if it bounces up and down, your shocks are gone

I did my struts and shocks with stock spring and the ride got worse. I used GR-2's. They suck!!!!

So you wish you had never changed them or you feel you just went with the wrong brand?
