Someone with more knowledge than I please comment on these springs. They're within my price range but I don't want to get stuck with springs that will screw my car up.

Thanks.

Well there's no better way than to test them. I say that you stick to the brands that yo know and won't sag on you later on in life.

Then again, I just found these, which I know are good, but a are a little more expensive and are used.

That's actually a pretty good price for some Eibachs. I say you run with those.

that first set of springs looks nothing like a set of 7g springs so don't waste your time.

yeah get those eibach.
seriously

and don't install them until you have a set of struts
then do it all at once.
if you just have to instal your eibach on stock struts.
or even if you install them with some gr-2's or agx,

make absolutely sure you install them with saome new polyurethane strut mounts.
they are only 30 bucks and make a very large difference over your crappy tired and torn spongy stockers.

and if you are too cheap to install the polyupper mounts.
then save a whopping 10 bucks and install a set of new o.e.m rubber mush bushings.

otherwise you won't be getting the ride quality you are paying for.
seriously.

buy them now,
or i'll buy them and resell them for twice that price.
i'm serious too man.
if those are still up tomorrow, i'm buying them.
and you are going to be
shit out of luck.

so buy them.
seriously

Okay! I will buy them!

Just help me out and show me what else I'll need. My budget isn't very large so lets get the just-as-good stuff, know what I mean?

Alright, I bought them. Now, I think I want to install these on the stock struts but I'll get that polyeurethane thing you said, DOHCStunr.

What's the biggest reason I should shell out a few hundred bucks for new struts? The ones I have aren't giving me any problems. The car's suspension is actually very good and smooth, especially with Staten Islands wonderful roads...

Yeah that was me https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

I searched for 'strut mounts' and I see they are actually car specific. I searched for Galant ones and nothing came up. Nothing for 'Mitsubishi' either.

As much help as I can get right now would be much appreciated. I don't know the first thing about installing these springs, but I WILL NOT bring my car into a shop to have it done. If there's an actual step-by-step tutorial for the Galant that I haven't found, please link me to it. Also, someone let me know exactly which mounts I should get.

Now, say I install these springs on my stock struts, and get those mount thingys, will I need anything else? I don't even know what a camber kit is, but I know it has something to do with lowering. Also, I heard from a friend that after lowering your car, an alignment is a good idea.

Thanks for the help guys.

theres a tutorial for an 8g on here somewhere. i would look at that if u cant find a 7g tutorial. it cant be that much different... suspension is pretty straight foward. take a look, its only like 6 bolts u gotta remove and u pull out and swap. i did my own swap with tools borrowed from autozone. also riding on stock shocks for almost 1 yr now and theyre still fine...

I made a tutorial for the 7gs a few years back but it is long gone. The rears are easy to install, the fronts are a bit more tricky, but its not bad at all. Do a search, I know its been posted before.

You shouldnt need a camber kit for the Pro Kit. I have the Pro Kit with a few springs cut, and I probably should get a camber kit.

nah
you just didn't search right.
the upper mount bushings are identical from the 2g eclipse to the 7g galant.
i should know.
here.
http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclsuspension.htm ('http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclsuspension.htm')
near the bottom of the page under energy suspension.
just the front upper and the rear upper mounts. thats all you need.
rre is one of the best dsm vendors so you'll get your bushings quick. only 14 bucks each. thats cheaper thean new oem bushings.
HUGE DIFFERENCE.
don't pussy out now.

If you really want shock struts i have gr2's that i got from mindless, if i remember i think he said he put about 10k miles on them. I don't want to part with them cause i'll like to use them as a spare, especially since my next g is going to be practically on the floor. But if you make a good offer i'll part with them, and help a fellow TGCNYer.

i'd pick up a rear camber kit just to be safe...and definitely do the shocks and struts when you do the springs...cause your stocks will blow out pretty quick...especially with rough roads...

Alright, when the springs get here, Roman and Jay are going to come over and help me install them. They know what they're doing and they're going to let me know what I need to get and whatnot. I'm safe now https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

Thank you for all the help guys. I'll post pics when I'm done slammin'
