a lot more then that, actually im not sure, because i dont remeber how the rear doors are on the 8g. I know theres a guy with an impala that suciede the rear doors and i beliave spent about 5k, but they do look bad ass.

I think he said theres some cracking and warping, his site http://ssuicide.com/ ('http://ssuicide.com/')

Yeah, you're mistaken on the price. I had this priced out last year and there are no "universal brackets" for suicide doors that would work for an 8G. Just look at the shape of the 8G rear door and see that the only way you can do it is with 2 larger brackets up top, can't do it on the lower area. You're looking at easily $5k, if its even possible without modifying the whole door to be ununsable. I thought it was a good idea too. The door would not be secure. Be hard to make it swing smoothly and close correctly.

A 7g on car domain has them. Pretty gay IMO.

Actually there are some universal hinges that are made to do doors like ours. These hinges run about $340 each, and you'll need one for each door. I priced the labor on getting a local custom shop to do an install like this, and they quoted me a price of about $2K and that didn't include painting the over the area that the work is being performed on. Here's a picture of the actual hinge you'd need to use:

And here's some pix of the "extra" large kit installed on a Charger. (The Galant probably wouldn't need a hinge this big so the large hinge would be big enough.)

Here's the link to the site if you want to check their products out.

Be warned, if your gonna get a shop to do this, make sure they have a fully capable welder, cause it's gonna take a lot to get this done right. I'm still looking for a shop I could trust to do this.

um yeah...i have a 300c...and to do the suicide doors to be quality and function like OEM...meaning no warp, no sagging doors, and 100% functionality...costs about 10 grand...so look to spend at least 5-7 for a decent job...

I just can't see a single hinge setup being stable at all. Be ok for show I guess, but if you actually wanted to use them, it would be a huge hassle from day one.

Yeah, they do look like a they should work pretty good, except I can't find a decent shop to do the work. I don't want to be the first one they try it on. I thought about checking with a few custom shops in Atlanta or maybe even North Florida. You know of any good shops in the Jacksonville area?
