No - you actually don't need to take off the needles - you need a hand installing these?

Did you get your car fixed?

not sure with that brand but with my s7 gauges the gauges slipped over the needles...isntall wasnt difficult if you know some commone sense..

Yeah, very easy - just unscrew the screws on the gauge faces, slip em over, then put the screws back on, but not too tight as they will bow up and rub the needles if the screws are too tight.

Do you have a bezel as well?

yup..i bought a cf bezel off ebay..so the little black piece at the bottom of the cluster comes off right?

do the s7's have slits on the sides so that they go over the needles? maybe i'll figure it out when i take the cluster apart..i'll do it over the weekend..

yea, the s7's have holes bigenough thatthey can slide over the needles.

you can install the faces with the gauge cluster still in the car but, i suggest you remove the cluster for the simple fact that if you drop a screw behind the dash it probably would be lost for almost forever, unless you're one of those fold who likes to tear the dash apart trying to find it

noted. i've been looking around all day for the diy tutorials but all the links are no longer running. these are the old ac autotechnics reverse el gauges if i'm not mistaken. i kinda like the look of these better than the s7's coz they look more stock but still sets the dash off.

fairly simple to install, but while taking out the screws theres one in the rear of the instrument cluster, i learned the hard way and ripped the damn thing off.
