thanks, yeah ill probably get a whole new suspension setup as well as lips/skirts and a paint job early next year. and on the grilles, i do still need to touch up where i grinded them down and repaint them as well as paint behind like you said (after i get my jdm heads seated properly). my hids are 6000k, though they look slighly different (they look aqua dont they?) from the bulbs i had in my usdm heads which were also 6000k. i got the bulbs from that $40 place on ebay... i think it might have been you who suggested the place. i plan to throw in some 3000k h1s like you have and run the diode. that looks too sick
btw - does anyone else have jdm heads in the 02-03 bumper? i think i am the only one in colorado with jdm heads. mindwerkz has clear jdm tails.

I had OEM in there from the start, because my car was optioned with them; they never worked though. There should be holes in the crash bar to mount them. Do you have the brackets?

So I test fitted my re-welded SRT-4 FMIC on the G today, and since I had the bumper off I went ahead and trimmed it so that when turbo time comes, I dont have to worry about the bumper...

not to mention it looks damn good to finally get rid off that ugly lower grille

Theyre worth it.

The only complain I could think of on my Teins are the spring rates in the back. The fronts are 10K and the rears are 6K so it super bouncy when its set to the stiffest setting. Imagine hit a crack on the road at 60 and you feel like its a pothole.

Man...i wish my driveway was friendly to my car :cry: I actually had to raise up my front about 1/2 inch just so i could lessen the scraping i go through everyday just to leave my house. I am curious, do the Tein Basics and SSP's drop the same amount? From looking at the coilover the other day, if i were to full slam, my front bumper would be like 3-4 inches off the ground :shock:

I am curious, do the Tein Basics and SSP's drop the same amount? From looking at the coilover the other day, if i were to full slam, my front bumper would be like 3-4 inches off the ground :shock:

Just wait till you see my driveway... not very car friendly... not at all. Especially in the winter time if it's not in the driveway it'll be under a mound of snow that actually raises higher than you stand. There were few cars here in "Iceland" that had their cars caved in by snow.. some had their wheels frozen to the floor.

We used the stock mounts that the normal crash bar bolts up too, but we cut the top half off, welded a bracket to the mount, then welded the 1-1/2" tubular steel to the mount/bracket. Then welded tabs for the fmic. Was pretty easy. I say we have at least another 75-100ft of the tubular steel, he got it all free from somewhere ha.

My steelies are a little bit rusty though. More brown than black.. in splotches.
