And if you had to buy some it's under $20 for most. Plus they are easy to disassemble if you want to change bulbs.

Dude same thing happened to me this time last year. It didn't mess any of my body up but broke the weld clean off between the manifold and piping. It sux balls but know I can kinda laugh about it. I jumped that deer. There was deer shit (I mean shit not blood and guts) all under my car. For about 6 months when it rained my car smelt like ass. I feel your pain. Hunting season sux. My friend hit one this morning.crossing my fingers hoping that I didn't just jinx myself.

What's with the different bumper?

Proto
11-19-2010, 11:57 PM
Car is getting powerwashed in the morning to get all the shit off. The bumper is the VR-M with SVR-4 lips I purchased a few weeks ago, already put my old one back on.

You would prob need sides, but not the front bumper. You could do it like fatal1 did and have the front flare stop at the bumper/fender mounting point. Prob would need rear ext's too. But if you get creative and maybe extend the flares so you wouldnt need those it could work too if executed properly.
Projectors sound good too.

Hi All,

Im new and here is a picture of my G8

http://i1113.photobucket.com/albums/k505/ChaidanSam/Galant.jpg

She is all OEM, for the most part.
She a rebuilt, the previous owner had a nasty front end collision. She drive fine for a 99 and has little issue.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

Like Corey said, Im up in New Hampshire.

It came with 22 chrome wheel from the previous owner. Not a big fan of chrome wheels so I took it off and did the hubs. When spring comes around I will get new shoes for the baby.

Previous cars were: 90 GSX (to much power for tranmission) , 95 TSI AWD (timming belt went), 240sx sr20det redtop (Got married, need I say more?), and finally 97 GST Spyder (turbo ceased, hidden from wife).

Make sure the intake tube pointing to the BOV isnt plugged or something and then connect the BOV outlet with the intake tube with a coupler. The valve cover breather needs to be plugged into the intake pipe too. there should be inlets under the BOV tube on the intake pipe.

Behind the thermostat, i can see a hose pointing up. What is that?

so the aem stand alone isn't plug and play with the boomslang conversion harness? What was all required to solder and what not?

For the most part its plug and play for the AEM to plug into the ECU harness with the boomslang conversion harness. Some wiring needs to be done under the hood. You need to wire up the EVO injector connectors, resistor box, AEM Map sensor harness, AEM IAT sensor harness, need to extend the wires for the cam sensor connector and ignition coil connectors. Its not difficult, just takes a little bit of time and patience. Then, depending on your setup, you gotta do your fan wiring/relay/fuse setup for aftermarket slim line fans (again if your using that type of setup).

interesting.... ok so what if you used the aem standalone for the eclipse, you wouldn't need a conversion harness, you won't need the resistor box if you run wrx injectors... correct? and sense its a standalone it has the same potential as the evo specific standalone, right?

No.

Your galant harness connectors that go into the ECU are not like a 3g 5-speed connectors. The stock 8g harness has the pins on the connectors stacked 3 high and the 3g 5-speed and EVO have them stacked 2 high, so thats why you need the boomsland conversion harness for the ECU connectors. Besides, the 3g AEM EMS is the same as the EVO, its the same part#. You wouldnt need the resistor if you ran high impedance injectors, correct. At the same token, you dont "need" a standalone EMS either, you could run the stock EVO ECU with EcuFlash and tune it that way.

ah dang it lol i'm trying to avoid using an extra harness... and i thought i was on a roll lol. i guess i might try the evo ecu, its a plus cuz i should be able to start it right up and idle on to a trailer to get it tuned, maybe even drive it idk we shall see

I'm not gonna lie, some of you guys are really something. I've been on this site for more than 8 years you really think I'm gonna just relocate the entire fog housing into the hi-beam just for the hell of it? So I no longer have a fogs whoopeedooo. My lows are not dual fillament and I rarely use my highs so that leaves a perfectly good housing unused. In fact some people here did it and they don't get shitted on. Plus it's aim downward so it wouldn't blind any of you driving down my direction. I've stop talking shit about other people's cars or some might call it "expressing their opinion" but if you like I can bring that back (of course you wouldn't....TGC is a peaceful place).

WOW that thing is in rough shape. Nice pick up Keith. Ok so apparently my radiator only leaks when I fill it up n the car is cold I was able to drive it with the car hot. Hopefully this spray on duct up will help temporarily til I get another radiator :( This is how she sits now. I put my heads in take pics tomorrow.

Glad you like it Keith!

My newest addition, 92 VR-4 419/1000. The car was wrecked on the passenger side so we picked the car up yesterday, got home last night around 10:30. I got the all the damaged crap off, pulled the frame and got the hood mounted. Today I finished putting the fender, bumper, headlight, corner lamp, and filler panel on. Should be white by end of the weekend.

Thanks, I plan on wearing down the stock tires for a while, not with burnouts, but normal wear and tear, then I'll drop the money into some Chrome 19's or 20's. The Stock SRT8 Wheels are nice, but I would love them in Chrome better with this blue, so this is how it will sit for the winters, but with decent winter tires

Blew my Differential in my 5spd =/

I was trying to fix a turning issue I was having with my car and the differential gears broke loose after a 2nd gear grab. This was around 7:30 after I got out of work today.

Just finished putting the other tranny I had in my car. Thank god I decided it was a good idea to have a spare around a few weeks ago.

Anyway I took pics.

Yeah I think u can hook it up to ur parking lights or you can wire up a separate switch too. Thing is I wouldnt want it on when my low-beams are on, kinda pointless. So I prob will hook up a separate switch for it.
