I had to read your post a few times trying to understand what you are saying.

Its pretty rare to see 5 speed 7g's...finding one takes some work. A vast majority of the production of 7g's were equipped with A/T's.

i still can't understand it, are you asking if 5spd 7gs are common, or if a lot of people are swapping? i find it hard to believe people would start loving mitsubishi all of a sudden....and then swap their 7gs to m/t....gotta be stock 5spders

97/98 models are rare to be 5spd. More common in 94-96, in which probably 30-40% were 5spd(pulling numbers out of my butt). Theres only a handful of 5spd swappers here.

I got a 7g factory manual 5 speed. Really rare in this area.

Ya we need to redo the 5spd list and see how many we got now all together. 7 and 8G 5spd swappers.

Yeah, I'd second the 30-40% guesstimate. I haven't seen too many 7Gs here, but at least the half that I have seen are 5 speed.

I believe thats a bit high...because 5speed 7g's are very hard to find. I was asking my friend at Mitsu and maybe Manybrews and confirm if its true but less than 10% of 7g's were 5speed equipped.

Maybe overall since 97/98 DE 5spds were very rare. But 94-96 5spds were much more common. Its hard to find one because everyone has them. You dont see as many in the yard because their trans last longer https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

Ya here at my Junkyard they have the tranny for 350 and everything else from the swap has to be pulled out by yourself. Hilltop Auto Wreckers on Boston Road and LKG Hunts Point Auto Wreckers.

I have owned 4 1995 Galants and they have all been 5spd.
I still own 3 right now. 1 parts car, 1 race car, and 1 for sale!
