I decided to paint one of my calipers red to see how I liked it. It makes it stand out a little more than the white calipers. Do you guys like the red or white better? I had them white to match the car, but you have to clean them all the time.

I vote for red. It looks nice plus I'd hate to clean the white every single day.

Thanks! I will paint the other one today. I used a clearcoat over the red that is supposed to be high temp and made for rims. The caliper is nice and shiny.

The red looks good and all, but red calipers are played out in my opinion. Ever think of black or silver?

DANJ makes a good point, silver may look very sweet behind that black wheel. It is one of the cleaner looking colors in my opinion, perhaps I'm just biased....

Do a search on eBay for "caliper cover" https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

Here are the fake "Brembo" covers from ebay.(starting price is $30 for a set of 2)
http://i11.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/0f/f2/40_1_sbl.JPGhttp://i4.ebayimg.com/03/i/05/10/53/3c_1_sbl.JPG

Which most consider very rice. But you could always go with some covers like these, but they are pricey.:
Cal-Covers (ebay starting price is $149.99 for a set of 4)
http://i12.ebayimg.com/04/i/06/8b/89/93_1.JPG

They come in several finishes:
http://i8.ebayimg.com/04/i/06/20/15/63_1.JPG

The first company to come out with this type cover was Tuner01. Here is a picture of theirs.
http://i17.ebayimg.com/01/i/06/41/7d/45_1.JPGhttp://i15.ebayimg.com/05/i/06/42/17/22_1.JPG

Their kits start at about $189.95 for their powder coated ones and $279.95 for their carbon fiber kits.(for a set of 4) Like I said, these things are kinda pricey.

If your caliper cover ever fell off, it would get shredded instantly!

Well I finished painting the other one last night. I'm done with them for now, but I might go with silver later on. I had thought about silver, but decided not to do it at the last minute.

If you did use caliper covers ( I am not suggesting the "Brembo" ones https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif ) You should be able use some good 3M tape/silicone to keep them on the calipers. After all, most shops use magnetic stick on weights when they balance wheels. So a good double sided foam tape should keep covers on, or better yet a good epoxy. Especially since calipers don't have too force exerted on them.

I agree.
its the subtle cues that set the car off.

Those cues deliver the impression:
"i can't quite put my finger on it, but something about that car is just sexy"
or
"i don't know what it is or why, but i love that ride"

Give your car that clean well appointed look, without calling out for extra attention.
i always liked the cars that let my attention come to them, instead stealing it from me with blatant styling cues.

whats the dimension?

23.5cm L x 6cm W x 5cm D for Front Pair.
18cm L x 6cm W x 7cm D for Rear Pair.

Don't use a torque wrench to loosen stuff, as it will screw the calibration - use a breaker bar or pipe extension.

Those rims look hideous on your car. Get new wheels then worry about the caliper color.

Wow styles430, thats the first negative thing I have heard about my rims. I get compliments on the street all the time for them. I guess we all have different taste though. Have a great day...now back to worrying about the color of my calipers lol.

Thank you guys so much for the suggestions! I did the silver and it looks sharp! Man they look way better than the red. It really looks low key and clean. I am going to keep them silver. Now I just need to clean my rims and I will be good lol.

Yeah I'll post some when the sun comes out. The silver does not stand out as much as the white. I had clear coat on the white , but mud, dirt , and break dust still got on them. I used a different clear coat this time so we will see what happens.

for you guys that have rims that 1 size fits all or whatever, is there any way to get some kind of little plugs or faux lugnuts to go in the other holes that arent being used to even the look out??? that would look much better.
