View Full Version : Possible IAC issue?

I think I may have an issue with my IAC valve. After the car sits overnight and I go to crank it the next morning, it will rev up to about 2250 RPMs, stay there for a 2-3 seconds, and then immediately drop down to where it normally would on a cold engine (maybe about 1250 RPMs). Once the engine warms up it everything seems back to normal. What do u guys think? This just started happening about a week ago.

clean your throttle body.

If you're pulling your throttle body, you can pop out your IAC motor while you have everything apart. I think there are only 4 screws holding it in. After you have it out just wipe around the hole a little to get some of the gunk out.
