Recently I took my 2000 I4 to the dealer to have the injectors and throttle body cleaned. As I was waiting to have that done I remembered that I've never changed the fuel filter, so I told the service manager to do that as well. Then as I was paying for the service, I was told that Galants (at least 8th gen) don't have fuel filters. Is this true? I find it hard to believe that we wouldn't have a fuel filter.

sum1 correct me if im wrong (im still sleepy) but we do have a fuel filter. the thing is that, its not of the types that can be serviced and changed like a normal one should...meaning that it wouldn't be worth it to thru all taht trouble of doing it if you really don't need to...

The fuel filter is actually an in-tank filter located under the back seat with the fuel pump. It requires no maintenance and normally never has to be changed.
