Well think I messed up really bad. I took off the stock air filter and I ripped out the honey comb metal peices out of my MAS because they were all bent up and stuff. They were blocking air and I thought removing them would stop my cars eratic idle. I think I was wrong because the car doesnt even stay running with it plugged in(the MAS). When I unplug it the check engine light comes on and the car runs fine. It idles at around 1300 though.

Did I mess up this 450$ sensor even more than it was messed up? Where can I get a new one for cheap, or am I going to have to buy one for 450$ directly from Mitsubishi?

yea big mistake.from my knowledge those honeycombs are sensors of some kind that determines the airflow. hit the junkyard and replace um.

Thta Honeycomb is very important. You'll have to replace the MAS. Proto has one for sale. Here's the link:

You are now needing to buy a new MAS
