Well, I've noticed the last month that my rear suspension isn't playing nicely. Everytime I hit any bump it's like going off road in an ATV.

I got my free oil change at the dealership and mitsubishi inspection and they said my rear passenger side swaybar link is broken off. I have no second means of transportation and I was wondering if driving my Galant would cause any further damage. Also I've been doing searches here on TGC and didn't find anyone with the same problem. (They had stablizer link problems).

Anyone know the cheapest place for a replacement would be? I checked ebay, mitsubishiparts. I want to buy it myself instead of fist in ass from the dealership.

I take it, that it would be under:

-Rear suspension
-Stablizer Bar
-Link

Correct?

I got plenty of muscle, but I hate getting under my car to do my own dirty work. Dont' mind doing interior work on the car, but my G is nasty underneath. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

I saw you post a simliar problem in your thread, thanks for looking out bro.

Hopefully your link isn't all rusted up because it can be a bitch to get off. PB Blaster didn't work for me. There was so much rust that I ended up stripping the tips of the bolts where you need to use an allen wrench. But, seeing that yours is already broken, you can just cut it off and the new one will install easily. You may need new nuts though.

By the way, driving around with it broken should be fine. The DE model Galants don't even come with a rear sway bar at all.

Just ordered a bunch of parts along with it.

Needed the swaybar link. I also got a new Radiator Upper Hose and Radiator Cap. (Upper hose was leaking a little and cap is rusted) Camshaft seal is possibly broken the mitsubishi guys said so I got one of those for when they do the timing belt/water pump. Valve cover gasket because I have ALOT of filth on my engine and I just cleaned it last week.

So hopefully my parts will arrive soon so I can fixing. Thanks Acid.
