9G OE HIDs Fogs

I was cleaning my room today and found my old 9006 5k Mcchulaahaha(bah) HID bulb and I happen to have the oem fogs on my room too.

I looked at them closely and found out that the bulb/socket for the fogs are the similar as a 9006 bulb which what the GTS low beams use.

Good News: It fits. a 9006 HID bulb(mcchulaaa) fits.

Bad news: not projected but bulb is covered with metal plate, have to trim the edges of the bulb/socket alittle bit but you'll see it and all you need is some cheap cutter and trim just a little bit.

Ill try it when I get my car back from the autobody shop.

Interesting. I didn't know a 9006 will fit into an H1 socket. That's pretty cool.

I'd be curious to see pics of your non-projected HID fogs. I was considering getting a 3000K kit and a pair of decent fog projectors, but I've already broke my piggy bank too much this month. ; )

well an H1 bulb plugs into this 9006 like socket thus making it look like a 9006 bulb. There is a metal cap infront of it so you wont be lookin straight at the bulb but the reflection ofcouse is gonna cause some glare.

do you guys have any good brands for a fog kit?? i got 8000 HID in so what bulb would look good with that for a fog??

mcclouch (sp) is a good brand, i also been runing Apexcone which is half the price on my dads car and my subaru and no issues also lifetime warranty on bulbs/balast

fyi, the h1 hids dont plug in to the oem fogs very well. Ur gonna have to play with it to make it fit or fab something up, ...ill check up and see how others did it when i get a chance...
