Aluminum or fiber glass? Kevin (White -G-host) on this board has a fiber glass one on his. Looks nice, maybe if you could give a pic of what your looking at we could offer some opinions.. I have considered buying this one from Wings West but it's a bit out of my price range at the moment and I really want a body kit before I commit to a wing https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif

So you mean like this one?.... http://www.wingswest.com/product_images/uniWings/10.jpg

I like this one https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif Except that it's $350 unpainted.

Thanks but no thanks Mitsu,

Winter is about a month away and I am about to raise my coil-overs up to stck and put my car bra on. A kit is just not practical until I get out of Alaska next year or the year after that. That's a hell of a sweet deal tho bro, $900 with no waiting, phat! I hope you can still do that next year cause I'll be all for it then.

Denver's wing is not what I would call a "touring" wing, it's more of just a universal. MitsuKid wants one like the one I posted, I think that wing is phat... just too expensive.

MitsuKid, There's peeps here with TW on there G's, it looks cool. Just be aware that our trunks are not flat and a real touring wing is, so that may look funny if you don't get the right one.

On this subject is it really, truly, absolutley posible to put an 8g wing on our cars? I have heard but never seen. It is a direct bolt on right?
How do you guys think an 8g GTZ wing would look on my 98 ES?????? 8)

The 8g does fit on a 94-98 galant, and yes it looks hot, look at my wing, in my pics...its not an 8g but it kinda looks like one

i'll tell u this, if you got a system, and u want a touring wing, you better be willing to shell out the money for some kinda dynamat or something cuz even without the system, that wing shakes like shit and can become noisey with the system...

MitsuMan

Ight D, just recall some post back in the day where this dude put a GTZ decal on his ES and everyone was punkin' him. Someone said something to the effect of " That's not even a GTZ spoiler on the back"
So I was just wondering.

yea there is a difference. the GTZ spoiler is a regular 8g spoiler that has been placed onto the trunk lid of a GTZ. no real difference, just the car that it is on. another reason it is called the GTZ spoiler was because in 1999-2001, the GTZ's were the only 8g galant that came standard with the spoiler.

That spoiler is HOT Allen! I can't find it on the web, how much did you fork over for it? It's black like my car.... But hey, still think a wing like that looks better on the 8g because our 7g trunks and rear ends are so round. The wing is flat across with the tips turned down.

You can say I'm full of crap but I'd have to see one on a 7g for myself.

isnt this the same one, by Erebuni?? looks simmilar, i wouldnt go that route because of the galants round shape, i would go more of a round spoiler...even the oem has a small curve to it

No Allen's is made by JSP, the largest aftermarket spolier dealer in the world. But you're right, they're practically identical.

Dude that's what I've been saying the whole time. I'd have to see it with my own eyes to make a solid judgement though,.... Photoshop anyone?!

2True,

I know who JSP is!! lol, I wasnt commenting on Allens specifically I was just saying that there is more then one company that makes the wing!

I was agreeing with you on my thoughts about the spoiler beig too round for the car!...TBH o wouldnt really want to see one on a 7g i just dont think it would look good at all

yea kevin's spoiler is a lil bit more round than mine. the only thing that i don't like about mine is that it doesn't have a light but imma fix that soon. uhm jsp has a site jspamerica.com i recall.

as for where i got mine, i think i got mine for 150 at a local speed shop and got it painted for free since A. my neighbor was too drunk to ask for my money, and B, he never finished the wing, needs another coat

i wonder what kind of job they do over at maaco with bodykits and paintjobs, its really not hard to paint a kit, im sure they would mess it up though

Oi White -G-host

I have a question. That tc rear wing you've got, where did you bought it?

Looks very good.
