i was thinking on custom tails with my altezzas, i know theres A LOT of you guyz that hate em and would rather go for JDM, i mean the JDM's look good but again i don't really like the stock look it gives, almost like a lancer... im more of a custom guy, so be easy and check this out:

im in the same boat as you. i dont mind the JDMs, but i like that look - especially if the housing is color matched to you car and its got a few coats of niteshade.

i say go for it.

It has been done before i just cant rember off the top of my head who did it, but they did look 20% better.

thanks guyz ima get a heat gun and find out how much it will be to get it painted, and since im gunna be painting things do you guyz think i should get my M3's painted to match as well its CF right now and should i paint the black thing triangle too

you cant use a heat gun stick them in the oven examine around the edges of the glass(where the glass meets the plastic) and ull see why

yes he melted a pair already lol :oops: :oops: umm there is 2 clips on the top of the tail light and im pretty sure there is some small screws on the side by the turn signal lens on the back

I emailed him and asked him to respond</div> doing it in the oven is risky cause you don't realy have control on to when to take it out and risk the whole light, i thought a heat gun would be best only because i can control where the heat is going... but i'll try both 8) since i always wanted to try the oven method heheh

on a side note..... do the altezzas have a flat lens, or is it kinda bulged out where the circles are???

The glass/lense itself does stick out and is molded like the circles...

i think i know what u r thinking about e.... i was thinking how cool would it be to replace the lens on the altezas with the stock one from 02-03 with a dark tint to it.. and then when it lights up it has the round circle design the altezzas have..

the f.b.i. go for it it looks kinda sharp in my opinion

well guyz thanks to 01natrualhigh and his heat gun i was able to start this project, and it's going go so far i got the lense off with no prob but that black shit was stickyer then a MF hahah i then took the chrome part off then took the red lense off the chrome part to save the hassel of masking everything off i just finished ordering another can of niteshade wich should be here by friday since the shop is only in LA i plan on getting the housing painted when i take it to the shop to get my lip painted shhhhhhhh....... and thanks for all the coments guyz i was prolly gunna drop this project if it wasnt for you thanks... 8) ...

Nice! Sorry about being such a noob and all this but night shade means?? The lens looks black in the day and night but when the lights are turned on, they are still visible as red lights?

I think they look good i did the same thing but in the pearl white color to my car about 2 years and i think it looks tight.

i just finish filling in the design on the housing and damn does that body filler stuff dry quick! just need to vacuum my room now hahahhah just waiting for the nite shade to come in, i ordered it 3 days ago and should of been here already since the shop is in LA.... :?

Ok. Thx. So the effects of nightshade is at night, the red lamps can be seen, but in the day, the light is black in colour? Am i right?

eh, its just a rice rocketin universal muffler i pick up at pep boys for 50 bucks it has a nice low tone to it nothing all crazy like the hi pitch civics you hear running around....

im getting lil craters from the body filler i tried sanding it down but i can still feel the lil holes shuld i just fill that with body fill and sand that or will the layers of paint fill it in....
