This winter I decided that I would go with aftermarket fenders, and might as well do fender flares as well.

I have seeen the JDM Vr4 fender flares, but also different kits that have wider fender flares. Anyone have any suggestions or know where to pick up a quality universal kit?

Wanting to do something like this:

Hey man I'll give you as much info as I can, so you can help me out too since I'm trying to do the fender flare thing too. Anyway, if you like that front for that BMW kit, you can find knock offs of that kit on ebay. And they sell the whole kit for less that $600. That's not too bad if you just want to hack it up to fit a Galant and not use some of the pieces. Also, that car and the folk that did it are located in Brazil. I have a cousin that moved down there, and I did have him checkin on it for me, but he's kinda lazy and hasn't gotten back to me yet. I've kinda switch gears and went back to doing a JDM front, but I can call him and light a fire under him if you want info on the availability of that kit. But I'm almost 100% that it's a "1 of" custom kit, and there is no mold of it. Let me know id you want me to give him a call. (It's a local call anyway, since he has a Vonage number) As for universal flares to use, the best ones that I've seen so far are from places like Extreme Dimesion and Team Prototype. Let me know if you find some that seem to be better.

Hey bro, thanks for all the info. That kit is the same as a posted in the link, the front of it.

But, I am only interested in the fender flares, if you can contact your buddy down there, ask him to find out what flares he used. Let me know if theres anything I can help you with too https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif

That G in Brazil looks all custom, likely had a shop do all the sheet metal work, custom welded to the body...really clean, really expensive. Expect to pay 4-5K for that kind of work.

I expect all that except the price  Didn't pay even close to that for all my work (molded sides, molded rear, fixing of front, cf hood fitment, springs, air ride, paint, damage repair, etc etc etc...)

You didn't even spend 4K for all of what you got???!! Hell from the prices I've checked, a full air ride system alone will set you back $2k. You must have some hellafied hook ups. Pass some to me too.

just to give you a heads up im nearing the completion of my widebody and the biggest thing i can tell you is make sure you have the funds to back the work. if you need info on how to make a custom kit ill be more then happy to help you out just PM me. but if your having a shop do it make sure they are good. once you have it molded before they paint it make sure they cut your actual fender thats behind the flare so you can clear bigger rims also grab that bitch and make sure you can shake your whole fucking car with out it cracking or breaking. pm me for more info ....good luck with your project

Thanks for the info guys, I am not going for a complete widebody look, but jsut wanting some fender flares to give it that look, thinking of maybe just molding the JDM fenderflares in, or maybe that wider look with the universal ones.

I got a good deal on the air ride setup, paid about $600 for the parts, and the install price is going to be less than that. I have a good hook up, cheap, but takes time. Not the fastest service...

that black galant is on a vid that was recently posted on here...
I guess that front bumper is a vr4 bumper with added features?

You don't need to buy universal fender flares to mold, a lot of decent body shops can make a custom mold for your 8g, you just need to find one. It might save you some cash too.

I'm not a fan of the molded fender flares, im a fan of the racing style... The JUN racing galant was so awesome. I can't find any pics tho. http://media.photobucket.com/image/JUN%20galant/mloc1/Jun%20Evo/jun5.jpg
