Need help w/ shifter problem

I bought a universal momo shifter and I can't get it to fit. The shift thing on my car has like a pointed top. Do I need to cut it flat so it will fit on there? Please lemme know asap.

The OEM shifter lever has the angled tip since the OEM shifter has the button on the side, but I am guessing that you will be able to cut it flat if the shifter you bought has the button on top.

yea I searched a lil more and found the answer. I cut it flat and put the mofo on. It worked nice. Now i just gotta wait for my boot to get here cuz right now it looks kinda nasty w/ the shaft bein all out in the open. by the way I like ur ride man. Very clean.
