do big brakes kits for the 7g galant exist? and what is the dimension of a wheel that can clear a 4pot caliper (brembo, etc)? Offset, diameter, and width?

I believe any 18' wheel will clear the brake just fine. If you have 17" wheels, depending on the shape you might have to space them out an 1" or so.

i actually run 18's on my ride now. Im just worried that the width of the rim might now be sufficient to clear the calipers https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif or should i put my fears to rest? not many brembos to try the rim on in this part of the world https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif (Philippines)

GSS check out kits for the lancer. I know you guys ahve that there. i know brembo or some other similar company should make em. see if you can do some kinda conversion. i know you could possibly use the one from the eclipse too. uhm the GTO/FTo u might wanna look @ too for some brakes.

lancers have a pcd of 100 and the driveshaft splines are completely different form the galants https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

yup galants can use eclipse hubs https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif but the eclipses over here come with single piston calipers and tiny rotors https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif

my current project is to fit big brakes and rotors from the gto using eclipse hubs! hehehehe!!! Im sure those mitsu 4 pots and HUGE rotors will make all those civic boys shut up when they start ranting about galants being daddy cars! bwahahaahha!!! our "daddy" cars will spank them good! :evil

am currently ordering the gto stuff from australia (lucky guys over there https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif )

as for fto brakes, the higher trim fto's have dual pistons while the lower trims have single piston brakes. BOth are rare to find in the surplus yards and both are direct bolt ons exclusively for the lancer not the galant https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

so how's your ride? https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
