Matt, rather then getting just longer studs and using spacers, your better off getting the H&R spacers, the spacers actually bolt onto your existing studs and the new spacers have their own studs, its much safer.

Tried that, but its not gonna work with the wheel/evo brake set up I am using. I ordered the EVO extended studs, we will see what happens on Monday when they come in.

19x8 +40 offset TSW Nogano

so whats the deal, is the rim hitting the caliper, or is the rim sitting on the hub and the studs arent long enough to get thru the wheel and get a lug on them?

The wheel sticks out an inch from the fender, but about an inch before it hits the caliper. My shop says with the extended wheel studs and some shaving they can get the wheel in closer. Its just the way the wheel is designed, its a little fucked up.

so they are gonna shave material off the inside of the wheel where it sits on the hub? I dont get it, if they have an inch of room on the caliper side, why would they need longer studs? If anything, if they remove material, it will make the wheel sit closer to the hub, which in turn would make the stud protrude further out thru the wheel.. I must be missing something..forgive me...

Longer wheel studs aren't going to do anything to tuck the wheel in further. As far as shaving material off the hub mounting of the wheel proceed at your own risk.

I just found it ARP makes them. They are for an 86-89 Toyota Celica, Im guessing the evo ones will work as well.
100-7718 for Celica
Knurl dia: .565" (14.350mm)
Knurl length: .325" (8.255mm)
Length: 2.34" (59.436mm)

The evo ones are 76mm long, same knurl size though
he knurl length is shorter (THEY GOT SMALLER HUB THICKNESS???)
Thread pattern: M12 x 1.5

Ichiba sells spacers with extended studs, they are actually good quality, alot of EVO guys use them, avail on ebay. The Ichiba's are hub centric spacers too which is a big plus. The ones for the EVOs fit the 8g galant perfectly.

I got the Ichiba kit when I put my StopTechs in, and I can totally vouch for them. They fit the hub dead on, and the studs are solid quality. I don't recall exactly, but I think the studs I took off were only 35mm. I may have only been measuring the threaded portion. The Ichibas were only 5mm longer (same as the spacer thickness).
