An ACT 2100 should be just slightly harder to press then OEM. OEM is something like 1700 or 1800lbs of force. I would not get an ACT 2600 with a FWD car, I did not like mine.

I switched from my ACT 2600 to an OEM and WTF my clutch is as light as a feather now lol. If I were you, I would look into getting a Spec clutch. I believe FrankMB went with Spec? I had a Spec disc at one point and it always grabbed strong, and best of all, no break in period!.

As for flywheels, get a lightweight flywheel. ACT Xact, Fidanza, Spec, just dont go OEM, you will like the gains from the lightened flywheel https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

the 2100 isn't that bad for daily driving. it requires some effort and will definitely keep you awake. the only time it becomes a bitch is when i've been sitting in heavy traffic. after about 3 hours of LA traffic my left foot is numb

probably wouldn't hurt to go ahead and change yoru gear oil now that you've had some circulate in yoru gearbox picking up the trash.

good man, can't wait to see some vids and pics!

remember, shift smooth and firm, don't force it, then let the power do the work. speed shifting= bye bye tranny.

probably wouldn't hurt to rebleed the clutch again.
its almost impossible to get all the air out of empty lines the first time you fill them up.
wait a couple days for all the tiny bubbles to collect as one, or a few larger bubbles, then rebleed the whole system, use some dot 4 or higher

IceDouTGaLanT
08-15-2006, 01:17 AM
ya i been takein it slow shift no higher then 3,500 rpms, i had a problem shifting into 3rd and the clutch was smelling so i stoped immedally and just went form 2-4 till i got home. got home and extended my pedal out more bout 3"-3- 1/2 more then brake, so it would engage and pump more oil in it, and after that 3rd gear seems perfect to get into..gota go weld on my muffler brake of hinge NYC roads ARE killers lol...lets hope everythings brakes in nicely https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif...only thing i wanna do tommow is play around wit it in Nuetrual so it becomes more loose its so daym stiff...yea i was gota chance the oil with the penzoil brand since i couldnt find it for the install..dont worry ill get a new shifter

some pics ill take some nicer ones later, once everythings all settled down
