How many quarts of ATF does it take to fill up our Transmissions?

I changed mine and it took around 6-7 quarts. The tranni will hold around 10 quarts but all won't come out because of converter/ internals ...

i should note that if you are gonna get it pump/flushed, you are gonna need a lil bit more. the machine works like this. you fill up the machine. hook up the machine to your car, and yea it pumps clean fluid into your car and pumps the old fluid out. and it keeps doing that til clean fluid comes out of the outlet of your car...
