I decided to clear my corners today, I spent quite some time in the heat and finally cleared my right head light. The left one is taking forever though, it slipped from the spot where is suppose to sit and just wont crack. I just have no way of reaching it with anything to crack it, I am using the little bar tool just like somebody recommended.

As fare as the fog lights, I read the post about the rewiring process, and I missed what to do with the red wires? Do we have to cut them and connect to the switch? Or is there a way to just use the stock button without getting the switch?

take oven turn it on 250 till redlight goes off which means temp is 250.

take a cookie sheet and place headlight on it. Set timer on oven for 10 mins. wait then once 10 is up. take out of oven.. Work kinda fast and remove the little snaps that hold the headlight as one. Once this is done simply pull light apart. once this is done then do the same thing to oven and place headlight back in. Once its 10 min up take out and squeeze the hell outta headlight till it snaps back..

I have done this alot of times on tails and heads and fogs. If you have any issues we are hur fur yu...

Sorry about that, it wasn't on the tutorial section, which it should. It was under customising your 8G.

Here's the link.

but that other one that Kalamidad posted is what im actually interest in.....did they ever figure out how to use the stock fog light switch?

well that sucks, at least they found a way to wire it so that when the car is off the fogs go off and dont drain the battery if accidentally left on.

spetnaz: how easy is this wiring job exactly?

Kalamidad
07-20-2006, 11:55 PM
the one i posted is not difficult at all, the one up top is a bit for demanding. But i wouldn't suggest doing either one if you're not comfortable with circuits. Have a friend who knows help you.

yeah I dont trust myself to any wiring jobs, unless I have some help from somebody that knows what to do, as for friends they dont know shit when it comes to cars.

So what do i do with the red wires??
Also which switch do i need, there is a switch with three output acc, ground and something else, and there are switches with two, which one do i need?

I did mines yesterday it took like an hour for both, i took of the signal and headlight bulb out, didn't even need to take of the headlamp. Then i took a hanger and bent it on the tip like a hook or however its easier for you to latch on the yellow plastic and pull till it brakes into pieces, then with patience the small part out towards the signal light hole and big parts towards the headlights (when pushing big pieces that are impposible to brake to smaller pieces push them towards the head light. Becareful, take it easy pushing these pieces as far as you can with your fingers and with the hanger push it close to the headlight hole). Trust me it works my wife was loosing her mind because she was waiting for me inside to spend some quality time but i still love her though. now i have $145.00 in my pocket that i can take my wife to get new clothes laterz..... :mg:

Hey Kala, what kind of bulbs do you have for your front turning signals?

you do nothing with the red wire...you're working with the white one.

you can use the one with three prongs...that one just has a light for when the circuit is functioning. AN INDICATOR.

you can also use either. I'm using a three prong switch.

I'm using some regular "hyperwhite" 1157s

Cool thanks alot man, so all i do is just cut the white wire and connect the two ends to the prongs, but which ones, i will be using a three prong switch, i like the idea of the indicator light. Do i need a power source for the indicator or will it work just from the white wires?
