Hey has anyone painted there stock headlights black? I am about to clear my corners now and I was thinking while I had my headlight opened up I should just go ahead and paint but I wanted to see if anybody had pics of the finished project....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Kalamidad)</div><div class='quotemain'>to paint the headlight all you do is, Â*

Take it appart, you will see the chrome reflectors, the once that surround the blubs, don't touch that. Â*Attached to the see crystal part of the headlight, you will see a chrome frame with two openings. Â*That's what you will paint. Â*You will have to detach it from the crystal headlight cover by removing one screw that holds it in place. Â*No need to prime or sand since it won't be touching anything once the headlight is reassembled. Â*you can choose to paint or not paint the part where your turn signal reflects. Â*Entirely up to you. Â*The less you paint in that section the brighter you turn signal will remain. Â*Also, paint the entire thing on all angles, don't do a half ass job at it.</div>

I take it you know how to open the headlights.

I will post daytime pics tomorrow by the time I got off work today it had already started getting dark. Sorry no tutorial..... I had already finished the project by the time I had read the comment to do a tutorial. However, I'm willing to list a general step by step account of what I did if anybody would like me to...

Well being that I'm a little uneasy about taking my headlights apart I'd appreciate a few instructions on how you did it. And the heat from the headlights won't mess the paint up or cause it crack or anything? Is there a certain kind/brand of paint you're supposed to use?
