If there is a post on this before i appologize, but i did a search and couldnt find anything close. But anyway i want to get a gauge that tells the outdoor temp, but i dont know where the sensor would go. If you put it in the engine bay it would read hot, so i guess the best place would be underneith the car. but wouldnt that affect its reading too. Im out of places can you guys help me? where are they located on cars that have them factory?

just a suggestions..

why dont u put it on the center of the wiper grill between the windshield and the hood?

that should read the temperature more wisely.. https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif

idk man, seems like if it were there things like water, heat radiating from the surface of the paint or plastics due to sunlight, heat radiating from the engine bay.....
all those factors would throw it off.

behind the bumper cover though its going to read ambient air temps, without wind water or heat throwing off the readings

I bought an outside temp gauge and the instructions it came w/ said to put it in bewtween the door, stick to the metal of the door either passenger or driverside. Depending on how big or small your gauge is you might want to try that, it's pretty accurate for me.
