Galant lettering, on lower front door or mid rear door?

Now, I've never seen a single Galant with the "GALANT" lettering on the mid-door area of the 8G's. Until I met SLS2000 and saw it on his. I've seen lots of Galants over the years, on the net and in person and at meets. How typical is this? It seems to be a rare sight, anyone else have the same thing?

it's the same letters as on the rear trunk garnish...


you can pick them up at the dealer for usually 20bux a side and slap them on there w/ the pre-3M double sided tape...

No, you do not understand what I'm talking about. I'm not retarded, I know about the trunk garnish lettering. I'm talking about this:

Look at the silver Galant on the right. The "Galant" lettering is on the rear door instead of how the majority of our 8G's have it on the front door.

that's cause it's an LS, the LS and GTZ trim lines come with that door cladding or molding what ever you want to call it

Strange stuff, I've met a couple of guys who had the GTZ and I never saw that....... :shock:

I've been on TGC since May 02, and I don't know the basic crap. haha

They changed the Door styling after the 01's so the 02+ are on the rear doors instead of the front

ya, I've noticed taht as well, I think the earlier models had the GALANT on the front portion of the trim, while when the trim change came about w/ the grill and such, the location on the LS/GTZ side molding came as well...

no. the GTZ had the body cladding from the start. the LS had the cladding from 99-01.
