He just stripped the studs right? Why would you have to replace the whole hub?

You can just replace the lug studs..they are like $2 a piece.

yeah studs are easy...

and IF you had to replace the whole hub......

a BRAND SPANKING NEW ONE, is all of 80 bucks online with a brand new wheel bearing.

or you could go to the junk yard and get a whole knuckle, and with a simple 45 minutes of unbolt this tighten down that... you'd be done

throw a rock at the guy who gave you that estimate,

and slap yoru "friend" in the back of his head.

i'm serious

Heh, good luck changing a knuckle in 45 minutes...all the rust and junk on there makes it a 2 hour job involving plenty of colorful language and a blow torch.

So does having an impact gun hooked up to a compressor that used to be in a dump truck workshop. Now I just need a lift.
