Chrome trim around windows/doors

I noticed that a couple of yall have blacked out the trim around the doors, i was wondering how yall did that.. i'm planning on doing that as well, just seeing if there's a particular easy way to remove the trim. i'm just going to remove it and the grill and rear galant trim piece and give it to my gf's body shop and have them paint it professionally so it doesnt look like shit.

Well I believe the trim around the top is just held on with some double sided tape, and the lower piece has a screw on the inside of the door that you can see.
Some of the galants you see without it are DE models, and they didn't come with it. And I know some members maybe have just covered the chrome trim with some black vinyl

ebay sells chrome pillars for galants... i was gunna get them but i decided with the rain guards black looks better
