thoise are reverse glow not the S7's so you do not need an inverter all you need is power and ground

i got number 2. but number 1 probably would have worked for me since i just set the gauges to the way i want them and then threw everything inside of the dash, never to be seen again.

Yep, I just bought #1 from the same seller and did the same thing pinoy did. Set the gauges and tossed the controller behind the dash. That #1 inverter is bright as sh*t, not like the cheap ass OEM ones that I used to have.

And you need an inverter for any type of reverse gauges, cuz the gauges run on AC and unless you got some odd kind of alternator, your car only produces DC
