I recently installed the custom air intake as seen on the Galant Center tutorials page. My car defintaly sounds better and responds better especially aorund 30mph and 100mph. But I now notice a stonger smell of exhaust. Is this bad for the engine? Has anyone had any problems with this mod?

What I'm guessing is happening is similar to what many of us experienced with our "real" aftermarket intakes...with the increased availability of air the ECU is probably pushing up the amount of fuel during combustion to prevent you from running lean, and maybe overcompensating a little bit.

here's a lil tip. after u do the mod, don't jump in the car and start reving. just let it idle for a few minutes, take it oout for a regular leisurely drive and then after a few miles then u can gun it. if you rev it hard in the beginning, your car will run rich...really rich

If you are running rich, try backing out the screw on the bottom of the Mass Airflow Sensor, but only a tiny bit.
