Whale Tail or Wangan Wing

Has anyone ever put one on their car? I wonder how that would look. They look nice on toyota chasers. I even saw one on a older lexus at a show in little tokyo. It had air bags and had a plate that said..."VIP STYLE" looked soo good. wonder if it would work with our car...

Like that Drybear, but I like the wings that angles higher, I was thinking of getting one molded to my trunk. Its popular with many drifters. I like it for the look. It wont have real function on our car.

on most galants i think it would be too big and out of place. but with your rear end i think it might just look right on there.

agree.it "may" just blend in with the flow of the rear visor.

Just a note - I have test fitted an IS300 (Altezza) stock lip spoiler on the 8G trunk, and it would need lots of modification to fit as the IS300 trunk is flat, while the 8G trunk has a concave curve both towards the top and to the rear, but just fits the length of the trunk.

yes! That's it. But would mold it to my trunk. I would mold it at the top areaof my trunk and on the side of the license plate. make it curve flush into the trunk. ill try and PS the image I'm talking about...

i do agree that it may look good with the rear end on your car. Would definately not advise it for a stock G. i personally have never been a real fan of those. but like you mentioned, drifters do seem to like that wing.

but I have seen the VR4 wing. I don't like it. doesn't flow. anthony (djplay) of gspeed has one at his place. I put it on....no thanks.

I think a wing/spoiler like that would look sick on a Galant. I've looked into it in the past, but never went through with it because I didn't think it would flow well with the rest of my car.
