Do i need this?

do i need those bars in ma trunk under my speakers??? they're gettin in the way of my sub box.... i seen a guy who doesn;t have the bars but idk i wanna be backed up if i need them or not...

you don't need them but they make it easy to open and close the trunk.

if u remove those bars then when u pop ur trunk it wont jump open...its just gona unclick and u gota manually pull it up...

yea those are your tention bars you dont actually "need them" but they do keep you trunk from falling when you have it open and it gives it that spring action

i did that trunk mod... so u think it wont hold up with that?

They spring the trunk open for you. If you remove them the trunk becomes manual. You have to open it and if there is a gust of wind on it. it will close on you or hit your head first. No not vital but caution without them.

nope wont hold up..my CF trunk wont even stay up without those bars, but it makes it sit a lil more flush so i took them out for the CF trunks

exactly, same thing happening to me since i disconnected my bars. once i have the trunk fully open it doesn't come back down though

not only that it holds your trunk up but you need 2 hands to lift it up if you take it out cause the lid weighs like 120lbs
