Does someone know if the ST rear sway bar for the 3g eclipse will fit our galant. Because as far as I know the platrorm is the same. Or does someone allready has it on the car? I allready mailed ST suspension but they haven't tested it on a galant. So they don't know it. They love it on the eclipse.

it fits if you take a hammer and make room for it.

i have it. it wont fit unless you cut the rear jack point off. if you dont use your rear jackpoint, then thats fine.

qnz : Was it easy to get in? Could you post some pictures? How is it on your car?

Or is there a beter sway bar which I could get in without cutting or using a hammer?

i tried to install it once and i noticed that it wouldnt fit without some cutting. i was able to take off the endlinks and other bolts without a problem tho.

the diff between the ST swaybar and the addaco and intrax sway bars is that the ST sway bar is straight in the middle, where the addaco and intrax ones have like a 160 degree bend to them to get around the rear jack point. I am no suspension pro, but i would think that a a straight bar would be just a liiiiittle bit stiffer than one with a bend in the middle. they are all the same thickness tho.

As stated above, the ADDCo is a proven one, and the Intrax has been talked about, but it looks like nobody has it.

there is also a front and rear bar set from RMDSM for the 2g stratus (same platform as eclipse/galant) that fits.... that's another option.

edit: scratch that, apparently they have been discontinued.

qnz: do you have the partnumber of the st sway bar. That's gonna be my choice. I don't mind cutting something which I'm not using anyway. And it saves me weight. : ) .

Are there better bushings for the front sway bar?

do you want to buy mine? im hesitant to cut my rear jack point because i do use it. my car is too low to use the side jack points. where are you located?

So you haven't got it on your car? Are you sure it fits? how much do you want for it?

to my knowledge they only made a batch for a groupbuy that didn't go according to plan. only a handful of eclipses and stratus's have them. and of course my galant 8) i picked up one of last leftover sets from the groupbuy.

danger danj mentioned that someone else on tgc has a set, but i dunno who it is, and they never posted on tgc claiming to have them.

Any referrals on where to pickup the addco sway? Do they make the front sway as well?

If you bothered to use the search function you would have found the answer.

But since you are so lazy, I'll help you.

That is kind of you to help us lazy folks out.

Is it correct to interpret from your response that addco does not manufacture a front sway bar to match up to the rear?

It fits, I have one, its freaking amazing, with slight trailbraking the car handles like a rear drive.
I'll be sure to post pics later, but I used a sawzall to cut off the jacking point, and later I'm gonna get a grinder and totally grind it off then paint it so it wont rust.

Do not get a front swaybar if your looking for performance it will totally unbalance the car and make it push really bad.

Front swaybar + rear swaybar = pointless.

If you are talking about a front strut bar, then you can find those anywhere, including 3G Eclipses.
