i was wondering if a magnaflow street series would be good for my car, v6, and would i left the stock pipe or do a 2.50 from the cat??? and is there a differenve between the 5" round body or a 6"

your piping will not matter if you're leaving everything else stock. Unless you plan on doing more engine work, leave it alone. Magnaflow is a decent choice. ONly difference I would see is that the one is an inch larger in diameter, perhaps with a bigger tip.

i heard that new piping would be louder and giv me a lil mor top end but dnt want too loud....as for the diameter the tip is the same size 4" so thats y i was wondering

if the inlet size is the same, outlet size is the same, but hte canister size is bigger, i'd only figure that the bigger canister would have more insulation in it, making it more quiet. other than i can't think of anything else.

i would agree with that.

also, if you want to further quiet the sound of yoru exhaust just add a resonator before the first bend. wouldn't cost much, and woudl leave you with a more pleasurable tone

well i hav in mind to go wit a street series, 5" round body wit a 4" outlet and a 2.50 inlet....as for the piping the guy at a shop said changing the piping from 2.25 to 2.50 would mak it louder, will it?? bcuz the street series is pretty quiet as it is, i kno wut u mean about the canister so as for the muffler im set but the pipin is bothering me now lol

changing the piping will make the sound louder, especially if you don't replace the resonators that you took out.

im juss goin to keep it stock....cant i leav the resonators on and then from that to the muffler do new piping or is that pointless

i used to have 2.75" piping all the way from the cats to the muffler on my old set up... i also ran a straight through race muffler from THERMAL R&D w/ 3" inlet and 5" tip. i had all the piping done but had them keep the stock resonator. it wasn't super loud until i put on the downpipe and removed all cats. you should be fine replacing all cat back piping as long as you keep or replace your main resonator. the magnaflow street muffler is quiet.

I'm going to use a stock gt exhaust. I was under the impression that it would just bolt up. Even if it doesnt I'll still get it put on.

the eclipse gt exhuast, stock or aftermarket, or shoot, any of the eclipses exhaust won't fit on the galant. or at least without some kinda mods.

I just put on the 5" Magnaflow Street on my G. I do Have a I4 but I have 2" piping and bought a sleeve adapter from 2"-2.5" and it worked out great. Sound really deep until you hammer the peddle.

I'm planning to get the Street Series 2.25" Inlet, 4" Diam Tip, I will be able to keep the stock resonator right?

if you tell your exhaust person to keep your stock resonator then that person will keep your stock resonator.
