Sweet, I bought some new OE mounts for my car(old ones are cracked). Ill try it out this weekend and let you guys know if I feel any difference.

Is it hard to put in new engine mounts. I imagine you will have to lift the engine to replace them right. So I will have to get an engine lift to put in the new engine mounts? Will it make that much of a difference with new mounts?

No you don't need an engine lift, just a pretty good floor jack to support the engine when the engine mount is out. You do it one by one.
If your mounts are not worn out...in my opinion it will be a waste of time. But Craig's idea/website above might actually work. I never tried it...so can't say anything good/bad about it.

Stock mounts are a joke but sure makes for a comfy ride, lol. Anything that can fill in the gaps of the weak stock mounts will make a big difference. The ones you want to replace is the engine roll stopper mounts and not the actual engine mount by the wheel well.

O.k. I couldn't wait till the weekend so I put in my modified mounts in yesterday. The front one was cake to put in, didn't even have to lift the engine. The rear one was a little bit harder, especially since there is so much crap in the way and the fuel filter bracket is in the way. It was a good thing I replaced my mounts, my rear one had a huge/deep crack in it. It was pretty much gone.(+100K miles)

The car performs much beter now. I feel a whole lot less kick back when I am accelerating and the tranny is shifting really tight and smooth. I also don't feel any more "bad shifting" from the tranny and visibly, the whole engine no longer vibrates, like it used to, in the car. You changed the rear? What did you unbolt? How did you do it?

For the rear mount, I used 2 one foot extenions on a 1/2" ratchet to get to the bolts from above. I also had to loosen my fuel filter holding bracket to get to the bolts on the other side of the filter. Once that was done, I just manuevered out the old mount and put the new one in.
