Removable Front License Plate Frame

Do they exist for the Galant? I have searched extensively but come up with nothing https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif. I know I have seen info about them before in the past but I believe it was for other cars? Not sure. I need to know because I am having my full cyber 2 kit installed monday (front bumper does not come with holes/place for my front plate) and I don't wanna have to drill holes in it to have the plate installed. Not to mention the fact that it looks soo much better without the plate on, however I know I will be getting pulled over everyday if I leave the plate off all the time. So, this is why I just want to get a removable frame or something, so that when I am driving farther distances where I am bound to run into a cop I won't get pulled because I'll have my plate on https://www.thegalantcenter.org/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif.

Any info/help is greatly appreciated!

why not put back on the back of the trunk lid? or did you mod it so that spot isnt there anymore?

I was in the same boat. I got the same kit and I live on Staten Island. I was doing good with no plate for almost a year. And within the last few weeks I was issued a ticket while parked at a meter. I currently have the plate ziptied onto the lower mesh in the bumper.

some people put the plates on their dash so that they are visible out the windshield. I dont know if that makes you 100% legal but I see people doing that all the time.

That depends on the state - its not legal in California, as the idea is that if you are in a crash, you dont want a thin, razor like metal plate flying around in the cabin.

Anyway, there is a removeable plate holder for the C6 Vette, maybe it could give you some ideas:

*EDIT* Also, you are lucky that the cops haven't been bothering you about the plate for a year. Here on LI, my friend's who go w/o the front plate get shit about it constantly, and get ticketed for it. So, I can't just leave it off all the time as I don't wanna deal with that lol

If not in frame, how is it tied? (this may sound stupid, and probably is.. lol.. but I have never seen my plates not inside the frames so I don't know but) I would assume there are 2 holes in the plate itself and that's how it's tied to the mesh, yes?

just the plate itself. there are 4 holes in the plate 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. And it's just ziptied to the mesh
