im feeling the kit gives the 9g an ven sleeker look but mot extremely agressive not a huge fan of the rear but nonetheless great job *wish i had a 9g now lol*

9G
09-17-2006, 08:37 AM
yeah. If I would buy one, its probably just gonna be the front bumper.

looks good. looks like the car is at factory height. how far is it from the bottom of the kit to like the ground? that 9g seems so high off the ground, im wondering about scraping once the car is lowered.

9G
09-21-2006, 10:15 AM
Yeah, thats the same reason why i just want the front bumper. Its just too much hassle trying to watch for the front, then the sides, then the rear. I think its gonna be fine though.

Just the front bumper that you really got to watch out for.

Man, I wish I can get that part sponsorship for just the front bumper :)

I'd have to see the finished product, painted and all angles on a car before I bought it.

HaloAngel
09-21-2006, 01:32 PM
i see what you guys mean...but those are with stock 16" wheel covers...imagine if you stuck 17's or 18's in there....maybe even 20's.....hahaha that wheel gap sure would dissappear in a hurry...

9G
09-21-2006, 03:58 PM
Umm, i just finished installing back my sprint springs and id say that front bumper is probably going to be 1-2" away from the concrete/pavement

Actual pics of the bumper on the car may say different.

^^ Wheel gap would depend on the tire diameter, not the wheel.

HaloAngel
09-21-2006, 04:46 PM
^^Tires too....

Reelax

^^Tires too....

when u plus size, meaning go w/ larger wheels, you want to keep the overall rolling circumference as close to stock as possible to avoid problems w/ you speedo, tranny and brakes as well as supension geometry. since you want the rolling circumference as close to OE specs as possible , regardless if you put 16"-20"+, your tire will have to become shorter as the wheel gets bigger. so the overall diameter of the wheel tire combo should stay pretty close to stock. so if you plus size and don;t lower the car, the larger your wheel is the more apparent the wheel gap will be since the tire is no that much thinner and the overall (outside) diameter has not changed.

any details on the install? how much did it cost ya too? and that drop is mad low lol

9G
10-05-2006, 08:59 AM
Its pretty much a bolt on. Cost for the set(calipers/rotors/new pads/ss lines) was $800 + $200 for some new slotted rotors. WOrth every penny.

will the brembos clear the factory GTS wheels? so everything was bolt on? no special brackets for the calipers or nothing?

9G
10-05-2006, 06:05 PM
no, yes, and yes. You do have to kinda hammer back the rotor cover thing on the rear but thats easy.

So your saying... we can put evo 8 rotors on our cars no mods at all?

9G
10-06-2006, 04:47 AM
yes. That is if you have the matching calipers to go with it.

10-07-2006, 11:35 AM
thanks 9g, this is diffinately going to be a mod in my future as soon as i get my rims. Im suppose to be getting a set of evo 8 rims from my friend, so i dont think ill have problems with it clearing anymore

Just to let you guys know;

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>Eric,

Some members had absolutely no problems installing our product, while others unfortunately did. Keep in mind that since this is an aftermarket body kit, mods may be needed for perfect fitment. This is true with all body kits.

In the end, We stand by our products 100%. If you are not satisfied with our product, simply send the product back for a full refund minus all shipping costs.

Its ight , never was a fan of exaggerated body kits , i hate wen ppl do that shit! just lower the car and put some 20s-22s in it and im sraight! But im feeling the side skirts, matter fact the whole body kit is hot cause it dont look all that exagerated and shit. but to really tell i need to see the front bumper on the galant. Im waitin for a just a simple lip kit to come out for my 9g (havnt done shit to it cause i got it like a month ago havn.t had time), but i never found it for my old 8g so... YO and FURIOUSGTZ where did u get that front lip, cause im going to new jersey for a job and i need another car over there and they sellin me a 8g and i want to get the front lip this time wassup?

I'd be all over that thing if I didnt live in Pittsburgh....too many hills and potholes, and too much snow for kits on a daily driver. Our cars need more support for other modifications...

9G
12-01-2006, 02:39 PM
Yup. Show the vendors some money and im sure they'll be able to help you out.

Want something good for cheap, fo get a bout it.

Well, the 4G eclipse has the same engine as ours so you maybe able to get parts that are made for the 4G eclipses.

I talked to ImportTrenz about getting a ABS Plastic version of this body kit, but the guy just didn't seem to understand that fiberglass DOES NOT survive Midwest winters... plus I don't keep my car in a garage so after 6 months the paint job would be crack-a-lacking.
