I made one to hold me over till Fujita or another company makes a air intake. Toke me about 30 bucks in parts or so and someone to cut the stock airbox. Pictures/Video to come, give me some time though!

9g i got a question for you, how's the back when you got 3 adults sitting? does tire rub?

9G

Nope, not with these wheels. with the 30 offset, i do get a little rub but not bad.

Thanks lol, its just a generic straight through glass back muffler. If you want pics look back at the thread I made weeks ago.

Wow, that is very ghetto but I bet it's very efficient, ram/cold air, I bet it leaks like hell though?

for an extra $10 you can minimize the leaks

What do you have on your car from Works? You said you had the works stickers but what was on your car from the company?

no leaks from the the pipe to the cone filter but probably some from the connection of the box to the metal tube thing.

Stick your fist on the fog hole and you feel the vacuum but its not enough to kill the engine.

Nothing yet, waiting on springs/swaybar combo and something else down the road

I see, very nice design though. How did you cut the stock airbox? or did you even cut it at all? I want to see

It was a joke. It was creative though.

Thats just a cardboard box/Packaging clear tape(later on added some duck tape) covering a K&N cone Filter.

I took off the whole stock air box completely.

I dont have that box anymore. I switched back to stock.

Did it feel like you lost power with that custom CAI?

LOL! I look at the dyno sheets for Fujita's cold air on the 4cyl Eclipse and the gains are huge! I feel like I haven't really gained anything, im going to the Infineon raceway this wensday to get timed...

won't you just feel the difference when you're at the highway?

Nope, you should feel a difference in 0-60 aswell... I didn't though, I timed my 0-60 at 8sec flat with the exhaust/intake.... funny how RRM says their short ram intake will drop a second in 0-60....

With a CAI..you will noticably feel the difference in the upper RPM range, not as much in the lower RPMs.

Yeah, that's true also, the ram air system Mitsubishi developed for our cars is very efficient, a small loss of torque is noticed with most aftermarket air intake systems on Eclipse's, Ralliart's and of course the Galant.

nice, but how's the gas on the v6?

I think we 4cyl people have the same or less gas mileage in the city compared to the v6 peeps.
