they couldn't come up with a better sketch? WTF?

It does looked dumbed down from the Concept X but doesn't really look that bad. Looks like a normal, stock car. looks like the Concept X does still have a posibility of looking like the ones already built.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>As previously reported, the Lancer will first be launched in North America in Spring 2007, then six months later in Japan and other markets. </div>

Does that mean JDM version might look different?

probably not. I remember reading an article that said that Mitsu is going to use Global designs as opposed to regional desings as it had been in the past.

Is the 8G still the current Model in Japan?

I also got a tip that they might bring out a Lancer model to compete with the WRX models and the Evo of course to compete with the STI. I heard it was going to have about 245hp. Not sure of the power plant. I got this from a in sider at Mitsubishi.

I've heard from the local dealership that the new 2.0L will be an all aluminum motor that will have greater factory output, but its potential will be greatly diminished from that of the good 'ole 4g63. The cast iron blocks have a much greater appitite for boost, and can really harness it while an aluminum block will be lighter but at the cost of inferior strength, as wall thicknesses will not be sufficient to push the same amount of power. This is great for handleing and fuel economy but outright power will not be there as it is for the current evo's

Wow. Now with all this hooplah I hope that something is in the works to do the Galant justice.

They aint trying to make the Galant into anything. Remember the Galant is suppose to be a sleek, stylish, family luxury sedan. Not a fast, sporty, race car

luxury? in japan, not in the US my man. and we're pretty far from Japan at this point so i wouldn't even think of using the word.
