what option other than the stock bumper do i have for a bumper that is not significantly ie noticeably lower than the stock bumper do i have. i cracked my front bumper which is why i am asking. include any and all options i have including the jdm one. and also include links to any places selling them cheaply. i didnt have time to research this topic so if the answer is simple than i am sorry. just try to cut me some slack as i need to make a decision about what to do about the bumper sometime soon.

In my opinion, none.

IF you go with JDM, it won't be cheap. The cost is not cheap, the shipping is not cheap and to put it on is not easy nor cheap. The real bumper inside (the metal part) will need to be removed and or modified and will cost hundreds of $$$ for a custom job. JDM is not a direct fitment or replacement on our cars.

www.delraymitsubishi.com - 25% all genuine Mitsubishi parts

www.donherring.com - 10% off internet orders

http://www.oem-car-parts.com/ ('http://www.oem-car-parts.com/') - low prices (I never dealt with them but they are highly recommended by members here)

Another alternative would be to have it repaired but I think a bumper cover is your best bet because I don't know the extent of your damages. I don't think they go for more than $300 (non painted of course), not including shipping. I think they are much cheaper but $300 sounds like a good estimate.

Bottom line, you're looking at about $500 - $700 (low estimate) to get a bumper cover, to have it put on and painted. Probably the same if you had it repaired.

the jdm grille is smaller than the us spec grille and the jdm headligths are bigger than the us spec. so yea the jdm grille would look hideous on your car if you have us spec headlights

here's a shot for comparison of the grill and headlights. notice that the JDM headlights are wider w/ a different angle where the meet the JDM grill which is narrower. they really have to go on together; they can't b mixed and matched:
