Nothing special here really. Just decided that since my horn wasn't working (damn button got stuck in the airbag) I would replace the whole damn thing. Figures as soon as I find the airbag and steering wheel for a 3G eclipse, I find one for an Evo for only $10 more than what I have invested in this one. Oh well. Here it is...

i don't like how the hood lever, clovebox lever and foglight plate look. I say color match them.

Steering wheel lokks good. Thought about swaping out mine with my moms 01 eclipse. I also see we have the same shift knob, I just put a boot around the shift plate. It make it look a little better.

No, I didn't even need a steering wheel puller. Just one good jerk and the wheel came off. The 3G steering wheel reqires no mods to install, bolts right up...

I'm not sure. I found one w/ an airbag for only $10 more what I have invested in the 3G steering wheel. I wish I knew for sure because I know it would look alot better.

Nice it gives the interior A whole new look, I have a 1g T/E/L Stearing wheel and shifter/boot and it looks nice like it came from the factory that way. Now I wonder if the 3g one would fit in my 6g :?:

so is the airbag hooked up also??

yeah, i didn't have to change anything out to make this work. the plug on the airbag was the same, the cruise control, every. All I had to do was unbolt the G steering wheel, unplug everything, and install the 3G steering wheel in its place and plug everything else back up. Easiest mod you'll ever do. I had a bitch of a time finding an airbag for the price I wanted to pay though. That was the hardest part. Finding the steering wheel was easy. I lucked up and found a nice leather one for only $35 shipped. The guy I bought the airbag from wanted $80+ shipping for his. He wouldn't come down on his price so I just bought from the other guy. I found the airbag on eclipseforums.org/ and the steering wheel on club3G.com

I had planned on getting the 3G Eclipse steering wheel, but I was informed that the air bag hook up was different, so I decided not to mess with it. I ended up buying an Evo steering wheel and air bag, but that air bag definitely won't work. I guess I'll have to sell it.

The airbag hook will work. It's pretty much a plug and play install.
