hy

i have a question about the oil catch tanks.Does anybody have it,on a V6??

Maybe some pics?

I don't now about getting one :roll: I hope you can help me out 8)

i've had one since 2002. i haven't really caught anything in there. its not even like an 1/16th full. pretty much useless IMO

Do you have a picture from your engine bay?
How you wired up the tank?

Yeah, I don't believe there is enough pressure on our engines to need one. I just got one for my GSX though because it is leaking a fair amount. Thats because its boosted. You could do it for looks though. they're cheap.

How you wired up the tank?

If you've got an after market intake (CAI or WAI) put the catch can between the hose that goes in the intake from the valve cover and the intake nipple.

You can call me a noob, but what oil it suppose to catch? the intake oil leak?

It's basically designed to stop the oil returning through the air intake feed.

Thats not the best thing to have happening on a forced induction motor ( nor an n/a ). they are also designed to help prevent oil leaking onto a race track due to a blowin motor etc...
