hey all... it's me again back with another assistance request... i have never changed my rear drums and i was wondering if anyone knows how to do it?... i've only changed my front pads and resurfaced stock rotors... but i'm starting to realize that it makes no sense continue resurfacing our shit ass rotors... i'm gonna buy aftermarket rotors... but i can barely stop now and i just replaced pads like 2 months ago... i really wanna change my rears... i'm up to 39k on my 2k ES... so if anyone knows how to change em... please let me know... or if you possibly know of a link to a tutorial i'd be forever endebted...

thanks in advance...

Get the service manual because those things can be a pain in the ass if you do it wrong. It shouldn't take much longer than 1 hour or so depending on your experience and ease of parts removal.

Anyway, i'd get a service manual to give you step by step info its easier that way.

replace 'em and give them a new pair of boots. that's the way to go. goodluck.

what helped me out the first time i did my drums were that i took a picture with my digi cam. then i just looked at it to make sure everything was on right. have a spring tool handy too. it makes everything easier. needle nose pliers help a lot too....

I thought the drums were rather pricey from what I've seen at mitsubishiparts.com and ebay. Wouldn't a rear brake conversion be much cheaper and easier?

I would do the rear disc swap if you have the cash to spend. There was a set on club3g about a month ago when I bought mine.

ShineStreet3G had quite a few sets for sale. I think he may still have one set left.....

it's always good to follow up to a conclusion on un-answered threads so people can at least have an answer when they search for the same questions.

i'm going to do a rear conversion to disc so it's nice to have the links you guys posted.
