What do you guys think about the GS-T GSX "swirly" wheels? I don't really care how it would look. I'm assuming they are 16's.

Does anyone know what the fatest tire I can mount on these? or the offset? I'm pretty sure it'll fit cuz Q's has the 2G[B] wheels on his 8G.

It'll really give my car that "sleeper" look. I would paint the middle black and keep the lip polished.

Whattaya fellas and ladies think?

I was looking for those before, but I saw the swirly's from the 2g[A] and thought it would look different. I originally wanted the chrome GS-T wheels.

The swirlies are 16". My GST came with them. The widest you can go is 215, maybe even 225. Heres a 2G with them painted black..

It would wouldn't it? slammed too. lol.

whats the fatest tire can I mount on 2G wheels? and I don't want too much sidewall like my 15's do. do they make 40/45 series tires for 16's?

I'm running a 205/50/16 on my OZ wheels. Not too tall, not too short.

Swirlies are a different style thats all. The widest I know of is 215.

https://thegalantcenter.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45961

That says 225 50 16 is best for the 8g.

But do you think 225's will fit? or will it hang like love handles over the rim? I don't mind.. lol.

I'm not 100% sure on it. You're best bet would be to contact a tire company or go to DSM board.

the GSX rims are 16" rims. the widest you can go on them is 225. Its not gonna sit flush with the fender. you might need some spacers for it to look right. Nice rims, i had a set on my truck back in the day. I just sold a set of 5 for 100 bucks, cuz theyve been collecting dust for about 3 years. Im assuming this is the rim you were thinking of putting on.

oh yeah...225's will hang out of the rim...if you want the tire to be flush, then its the 205's that you will want to put on.

I dont really mind if they hang off of the rim. To me, the fatter the tire, the better. What's the offset on them?

I might have a set of GS-T rims sitting in my garage. they arent in the greatest shape though. I used them with some mickey thompsons. i dont even know anymore. the offset is high, gotta be 50 offset i think. if you do get them though, make sure you use the flat wheel lugs. the tapered ones dont work on these rims.

Get OEM style lugs for the 2g/7g alloys. Id sell you my swirlies but I'm keeping them for now until I can afford to replace the OZ wheels with something new.

your wheels are different from the Swirly's though. I like these wheels because they wont attract so much attention when it comes to thieves...

Wow... I just definitely changed my mind..
these except in black or gunmetal with a chrome finish would look hot on my 8G. especially with fatass tires.
