Tranny help! please!

im so confused! i got a 2000 galant and im tryin ot put a manual in it you all know so this is the thing,

they made 2.4L from 2000-2005

2001-2004 the coupe tranny has only one
2001-2004 convert tranny there are 2 differnt ones
2000 has a differnt one
2005 has another differnt tranny for the same engine

witch one do i have to get!?!?! could does anyone have like a part number i dont know witch one! or are they all the same jsut differnt part numbers?

for your 2000 galant, an 2001 eclipse coupe 5-speed from an GS/RS will work. DO NOT buy a GT/GTS tranny since those are for the v6.read gooseys write up for more info, and i have some info in mine as well. goodluck

the regualar starter will work with the 2g flywheel am i right?

2G STARTER: $95 - AUTOZONE/Pepboys
(2) 1/8" WASHERS WITH THE DIAMETER OF THE STARTER BOLT

your regular starter will not work, you need a 2g starter, and also need those washers for the starter fitment.

lol i do im not a good searcher plus i think its more relyable to have other peoples opinions and other ways of doing something but easyer, so yeahi check on everything liek 5 times before i go and do it just to make sure its done right, i aint pickin on no one but if you know its already been discussed cant you just anwser the question lol or at least send me the link hook a 16 year old up with some info, i got $800 left and i havnt even gotten the tranny yet. 8lb flywheel and clutch and clutch plate coming in soon hopefully
