GRyde with painted factory rims

Well i figured for the time being i would just pait my factory rims red instead of using hub caps. Also as a temporary fix till i get new rims (which i'm looking at getting the factory 16" rims off of a 97 eclipse turbo)

hmm, i don't remember saying mod or cheep mod for that matter, i do however remember say, that it was a temporary till i get the rims which i should be getting this weekend, (well actually i said temporary fix)

but anyway i can see that i will stop posting pics and just post in certain sections

red? do you have any contemplation of the color spectrum obviously it would look horrible just get a nice set of wheels with tires, the 16's wont look bad but please paint them black again at least for your own morals

No offense bro but either you add other red stuff or the red is out of place. There is no problem with wanting your car stock but the red does the car no justice.

I am sorry shane, I have to go with the rest of the guys and girls here. It is good you are getting new rims. The stock rims that you painted are not a desirable rim in the first place. You only made them more visible. The focus is taken from the clean lines of the G into the circles on the steel rims. You're best friend may tell you it's alright, but when you are not around he will tell everyone differently. Not trying to be mean--just leveling with ya.

It's also a shame too- every time I post up pics of my car I expect replies that are reasonable and within the typical opinions around the board. If you like what I've done, cool, if you don't well maybe it needs some work or it was just a bad idea to begin with. Yes, everyone is bound to attempt or add something less appealing to their car- but that's why you post, to know if what you did looks/works well.

Problem with this guy was that every time he posted up a mod, very few, if any members liked it. I guess it's hard to be a part of TGC if people repeatedly talk down on your G and/or mods- but honestly, if time after time you get negative feedback, wouldn't you follow a new route or try something that everyone else has done? Modding is expensive depending on what your plans are, so it is ok to work with what you have. It all comes down to planning and patience....the creativity part is awesome too but sometimes it just doesn't flow.

its wrong if somone comments " u must be bored" or "wtf that looks really gay man stop modding" thats my opinion. i think some people are too harsh. just simply say looks bad or looks good, leave red or paint them black instead. YEA IT WAS UGLY but im not going to say ahh throw ur car off a cliff now. i had the same problem over at 3gfl forums, they cracked on me for having the bodykit unpainted and i went off on a couple of people lol but w.e.

it feels better to have a new person come in here and we help him make his shit look NICE rather then having him leave with the same nasty crap done to it and loose another new G and let that G ride around making all the other G's look bad lol
